anime review: Trigun

The japanese take on a western set in space

A series full of fun characters, action and a story that pulls you along with a real suprise at the end.

Our hero, or is that villian, Vash the Stampede, is sweet, funny, even silly most of the time. But in the blink of an eye he becomes serious, almost scary. Watching the change from the clown to the serious warrior is a highlight to this series.

A marksman with a very fancy six gun, he never hits anyone but never misses what he aims at. It takes half or more of this series before you get a bit of his back story but it is worth the wait.

Full of guns and some cartoonish villians, I would not show this to our youngest anime fans but this is a good series for most of the family.
