book review: A Rose in No-Man’s Land

A wonderful tale of love and war. This sweeping novel tells of the first world war from a different view point. The main character of this charming book is an Australian nurse who has joined up to follow in her family’s honorable legacy. I have read many tales set with American or British characters but this is the first I have with Australians.

The tale telling is rich and complex with the only thing keeping it from being a five star novel is just how fast the characters fell passionately in love with each other. It was not quite believable at first, thankfully as the novel moved along it became so. A little black and while in places but in others the full range of characters helped flesh out this tale. I recommend you read it and enjoy this step back in time
