book review: Do Unto Others

While I am fan of Ms Stroud’s other works, this one doesn’t quite measure up to the others. This story is very dark and very intense but it does not have a satisfactory conclusion. We have all the villains you can want in this tale. Animal abusers getting their comeuppance is all fine and good but that is as far as this went. With a few more chapters the heroes of this peace could have been more than ten steps behind the killers.

I understand that the theme in this novel is about those who hurt animals getting their just desserts but by not completing the entire mess, this novel leaves me feeling that she was condoning murder. I doubt she meant that message to come across but it did.

Of her novels I would say read the others, this one needs a bit more work to be up to her usual amazing storytelling ability
