Finally DC manages to do a solid showing. While, yes, Batman has brought tons of money for the franchise, we all have to admit that DC can’t really seem to do a solid film outside of the Bat in well over a decade.
While for a bit it threw me that they set the story during WW1 instead of the more traditional WW2 it worked and I am told that in the new 52 that is how it is written.
We had no pandering, no a man with boobs type characterization. We had strong women, we had amazing fight scenes, some fun bits scattered through to help the pacing and keep it from being too dark, which DC movies are want to do.
All and all the two hour plus movie was pure fun from start to finish. One I will watch again and again and HOPE that DC can keep doing so well.
